Yodyut Muay Thai in Choeng Mon, Koh Samui: classes Mon-Sat at 08:00 and 17:00, 400 THB drop-in, private lessons and fight booking. Checked Oct 2026.
Yodyut Muay Thai (spelled Yodyut Muaythai by the gym) is a Muay Thai camp at 76/77 Moo 5 Choengmon, in the Choeng Mon area of Bophut on Koh Samui’s northeast coast. Group classes run Monday to Saturday, 08:00-10:00 and 17:00-19:00; a single class is 400 THB (~11 USD), and private lessons run 10:00-17:00 on advance booking. The gym says it was founded in 2014 by former champion Yodyut Kiatyongyut, and it arranges amateur and professional fights at stadiums on Samui and in Bangkok for students who train toward one, a step most drop-in gyms on the island don’t offer.

Hours and prices below come from Yodyut Muaythai’s own site, re-checked 1 October 2026. Treat anything not sourced to the gym directly as an estimate, and message the gym before you travel: class times and rates can change.
Yodyut Muaythai describes full-time Thai trainers working across two full-sized rings and 15 heavy bags, with a large matted floor for pad rounds and conditioning plus a separate area for strength equipment. Its own site has listed 11 trainers, while the Tripadvisor listing says 8: either way, enough coaches that pad time in a group class is not shared across a crowded room. One magazine profile puts the training floor at about 600 m2, which makes it one of the larger camps on the island.
The gym states plainly that it will “push you in every training session until you are ready to step in to the ring,” and that fights can be arranged at local stadiums on Koh Samui and in Bangkok for students who want one. Group classes accept trainees from age 8, making Yodyut one of only two Koh Samui camps (alongside Lamai Muay Thai Camp) that our Muay Thai gyms comparison names as explicitly welcoming children into group sessions.
Yodyut has no gym shop beyond basic gear rental for drop-ins, so anyone training for more than a week or two should bring or buy their own wraps and gloves.
Yodyut Muaythai publishes separate group and private rates on its own site, re-checked 1 October 2026. Group prices scale by how many classes a day you book, not just by calendar length. Both sessions on the same day cost 700 THB (~20 USD).

Private sessions run Monday to Saturday between 10:00 and 17:00, the gap between the two group classes, so a morning class plus a private hour is possible. Booking two classes a day roughly doubles the weekly and monthly rate over a single daily class, which is worth deciding on before you pay for a full month: the morning session (08:00-10:00) and evening session (17:00-19:00) are the only two fixed windows, so a two-a-day booking means training at both ends of the same day rather than choosing a midday slot. Our Muay Thai gyms comparison lines Yodyut’s rates up against five other Samui camps if you’re shortlisting before you arrive.
Yes for beginners: Tripadvisor reviewers describe patient trainers, fairly new gear and a gym that is known for teaching people who have never trained, and the gym itself says classes mix newcomers with fighters preparing for a bout. Children can join group classes from age 8. Expect an honest workout rather than a holiday taster: the gym says it will push you until you are ready for the ring, and trainers adjust the pace to your level.
For a fight, tell the trainers on day one. The gym books amateur and professional bouts at stadiums on Samui and in Bangkok, but a first fight comes after weeks of training, not days. If you only want to watch, see our Muay Thai fight nights guide.
A single Muay Thai class on Koh Samui costs about 300-800 THB across the island’s gyms, so Yodyut’s 400 THB sits in the middle. Jun Muay Thai in Lamai charges 300 THB for a drop-in and 500 THB for a morning-plus-evening day, and has rooms on site. Ratchawat in Bophut is 400 THB a class and 5,500-7,000 THB a month; Wech Pinyo in Lamai is 400 THB and 6,000-7,500 THB a month (gym sites, 2026). Yodyut’s monthly price (5,500-8,000 THB) is in the same band.
What sets Yodyut apart is the fight pathway and the Choeng Mon location, away from Lamai’s gym cluster, with no on-site rooms. Our Muay Thai gyms comparison lines up all of them side by side, and our Jun Muay Thai page covers the Lamai option in detail.
Choeng Mon sits close to Samui International Airport, roughly 4 km and about 10 minutes by taxi (typically 150-250 THB, ~5-8 USD), one of the shorter airport transfers on the island. Chaweng is a similarly short hop south, about 5-10 minutes by taxi or scooter. Bophut and Fisherman’s Village sit a few minutes further west along the coast road.
Yodyut publishes a full mailing address and a Google Maps pin on its own site (linked above), so search “Yodyut Muaythai” directly on Google Maps or Grab rather than relying on the street address alone: Moo 5 sois in Choeng Mon are not always signed clearly from the main ring road. There is no on-site accommodation, so book a hotel or long-term rental in Choeng Mon or Bophut and factor a scooter or taxi into your training budget.
Yodyut sits a short ride from Choeng Mon Beach, a sheltered, family-friendly bay that makes a genuinely restful cooldown after an evening session rather than a crowded stretch of sand. Bophut Beach and its Fisherman’s Village are a few minutes further along the coast, and our Bophut and Fisherman’s Village guide covers the restaurants and Friday night market for an evening out once training is done for the day.
If you’re comparing camps before committing to a multi-week block, the Muay Thai gyms guide covers Yodyut alongside five other Samui gyms, including two with on-site accommodation in Lamai for anyone who’d rather stay where they train.
The genuine draw is the fight pathway: a high trainer count, two full rings and a stated willingness to arrange amateur or professional bouts at Samui and Bangkok stadiums make Yodyut a real option for anyone who wants more than conditioning out of a training trip. Accepting trainees from age 8 also makes it one of the few Samui camps a family can train at together, and Choeng Mon’s quieter setting is a genuine break from Lamai’s tourist strip where four of the island’s six gyms cluster.
The honest downside: there’s no on-site accommodation, so every session means a taxi or scooter ride, and the two-classes-a-day pricing roughly doubles the weekly or monthly cost over one session a day. Training windows are fixed at 08:00-10:00 and 17:00-19:00 with no midday option, which won’t suit a schedule built around other activities in between.
Yodyut Muaythai is at 76/77 Moo 5 Choengmon, Bophut, in the Choeng Mon area of Koh Samui’s northeast coast, about 10 minutes from Samui International Airport and a similarly short ride from Chaweng. Search “Yodyut Muaythai” on Google Maps or Grab rather than the street address alone, since Choeng Mon’s sois aren’t always clearly signed.
A single drop-in class costs 400 THB (~11 USD), as listed on Yodyut Muaythai’s own site and checked 1 October 2026. Doing both daily classes costs 700 THB (~20 USD). A week of one class a day is 2,000 THB (~57 USD), rising to 3,500 THB (~100 USD) for two classes a day; a month runs 5,500-8,000 THB (~157-229 USD) depending on how many sessions per day you book.
Yes. Yodyut Muaythai’s own site describes classes that mix beginners and fighters preparing for a bout, with full-time Thai trainers scaling pad work to whoever is in front of them. Group classes accept trainees from age 8, and gear rental is available for drop-in visitors who don’t have their own gloves or wraps.
Yes: Yodyut Muaythai’s site states it will train students “until you are ready to step in to the ring” and that fights can be arranged at local stadiums on Koh Samui and in Bangkok. This makes it one of two gyms our Muay Thai gyms comparison names as a real fight-booking pathway, alongside Lamai Muay Thai Camp.
Across the island’s gyms a single class costs about 300-800 THB (~8-23 USD), with 400 THB the common drop-in rate, including at Yodyut Muaythai. Monthly packages at gyms such as Yodyut, Ratchawat and Wech Pinyo run roughly 5,500-8,000 THB (~157-229 USD). Our gyms comparison lists every rate.
Yes. Private training costs 1,000 THB (~29 USD) for one hour with a single trainer, 1,500 THB (~43 USD) for one hour shared between two people, or 9,000 THB (~257 USD) for a block of 10 sessions used within 6 weeks, as listed on the gym’s own site as of October 2026. Private slots run 10:00-17:00, Monday to Saturday.
No. Yodyut Muaythai has no on-site rooms, unlike Superpro Samui, Lamai Muay Thai Camp, Jun Muay Thai or Punch It Gym, which our Muay Thai gyms comparison lists as the four Samui camps with lodging. Visitors typically book a hotel or long-term rental in Choeng Mon or nearby Bophut and travel to sessions by scooter or taxi.
