Check the weekly table above: most markets keep to one or two fixed nights, except Chaweng and Nathon, which run most of the week. Confirmed markets hold their night more reliably than disputed ones, so it's worth checking locally.
Guides often copy older guides, market nights sometimes shift without much notice, and a few markets share a road with daily food stalls that get mistaken for the weekly event. We mark those cases disputed rather than invent a single answer.
Yes, for a different reason: they're where residents actually shop and fish, not evening entertainment. Laem Din is a daytime fresh market in Chaweng; Hua Thanon is a fishing-village fish market, both better as a morning visit than a night out.
Mostly no. Stalls are small and cash-based, so bring baht in small notes and coins. A few larger vendors near the main entrances sometimes accept transfers or cards, but don't count on it.
Fisherman's Village in Bophut is the easiest starting point: a confirmed night, a walkable promenade and a mix of food and stalls. Chaweng Walking Street runs more nights if Bophut's schedule doesn't line up with yours.
